MICHAEL P ZIMRING, MD WILL BE THE PHYSICIAN WHO WILL BE EVALUATING YOUR HEALTH STATUS AND REVIEWING THE POTENTIAL HEALTH HAZARDS IN THE AREAS OF THE WORLD YOU WILL BE TRAVELING.


DR. ZIMRING, an experienced Travel Health Physician will be advising you on the vaccines you should have and how to prepare yourself for your International Travel experience.


DR. ZIMRING, throughout the years has passed his certifying exam in Internal Medicine as well as passing the Certificate of Knowledge examination administered by the International Society of Travel Medicine. In addition, he has been certified by the Maryland State Department of Health to administer Yellow Fever Vaccinations.

He is experienced in treating the diseases you may encounter when visiting the developing world such as Malaria, and other insect borne diseases. He also has expertise in preventing and treating Travelers' Diarrhea, sunburn, altitude illness, motion sickness and other environmental situations you might incur during travel.


His experience has also included being an emergency response physician in the Baltimore City Fire Department and an Emergency Room Physician in the Mercy Medical Center. In his career he has managed patients in the Intensive Care Unit, throughout the hospital and in his private practice as a primary care physician.


Dr. Zimring, as a well experienced physician in Internal Medicine and Travel Medicine, is well prepared to guide you through the preparation for your trip.

NOTES:

  1. We use the newer version of Hepatitis B known as Heplisav because it reacts with the body better than the older three shot series.

   2. Hepatitis A vaccination is good for 2 years but if you get a booster within a year, it will be good             for life.

  3.  Typhoid vaccination is good for 2 years.
