- We administer the proper vaccinations to help prevent Yellow Fever, hepatitis and other diseases that can be prevented by the proper vaccinations.
PHYSICIAN QUALIFICATIONS
MICHAEL P. ZIMRING will be the physician who will be evaluating your health status and reviewing the potential health hazards in the areas of the world you will be traveling.
Dr. Zimring is an experienced Travel Health Physician who will be advising you on the vaccines you should have and how to prepare yourself for your International Travel experience.
Dr. Zimring throughout the years has passed his certifying exam in Internal Medicine in addition to passing the Certificate of Knowledge examination administered by the International Society of Travel Medicine. In addition, he has been certified by the Maryland State Department of Health to administer Yellow Fever Vaccinations.
He is experienced in treating the diseases you may encounter when visiting the developing world such as Malaria, and other insect borne diseases. He also has expertise in preventing and treating Travelers' Diarrhea, sunburn, altitude illness, motion sickness and other environmental situations you might incur during travel.
His experience has also included being an emergency response physician in the Baltimore City Fire Department and an Emergency Room Physician in the Mercy Medical Center. In his career he has managed patients in the Intensive Care Unit, throughout the hospital and in his private practice as a primary care physician.
Dr. Zimring, as a well experienced physician in Internal Medicine and Travel Medicine, is well prepared to guide you through the preparation for your trip.
VACCINATION INFORMATION
WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY TYPE OF INSURANCE!!
We will give you a receipt with the information required by your insurance company to try to get reimbursement. However, this matter is solely between YOU and YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. Medicare will NOT reimburse you under any circumstances. You cannot submit a receipt to medicare as per medicare.
**The prices listed are prices as of August 11, 2025. The vaccine companies increase their prices of the vaccines any time during the year without advanced notice (usually in January). We have no choice but to increase our prices. If at any time I order a vaccine and the price has been increased by the vaccine company, I will have to increase my price to the patient with little or no warning even if I do not have time to show the increase on this web site.**

OTHER NOTES:
1. We use the newer version of Hepatitis B, known as Heplisav because it reacts with the body better than the older three shot series.
2. Hepatitis A vaccination is good for 2 years, but if you get a booster within a year, it will be good for life.
3. Typhoid vaccination is good for 2 years.
The vaccines /medications recommended by the CDC for your destination really edpends on many factors:
- Your destination-the country to which you are traveling-if multiple desinations, the order your are visiting each country.
- Your accommodations-hotel, cottage,tent
- Your mode of travel-boat, car, plane
- Your planned activities-solo hiking, travel with a major tourist company or are you on your own or with a companion or group
- The Weather/Season-rainy or dry
- AND YOUR HEALTH STATUS-your medical problems, past immunizations, medications and allergies.
Therefore, it is required to fill out a questionnaire before an appointment is made and then we will call you to set up an appointment.

THE PRE-TRAVEL CONSULTATION SHOULD TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR AND WILL COVER ALL THE ABOVE .
THE CHARGE WILL BE $110-175 DEPENDING ON THE SERVICES RENDERED.
We do not publish vaccine prices because they are increased at the whim of the manufactures without any prior notice. They might be affected by the tariffs that we might or might not be getting.
For comparison sake, the Yellow Fever vaccine is over $450 by our biggest competitor.
Our charge for the yellow fever vaccination is $306.
When you come in for your consultation we will go over all the possible vaccinations but only recommend the ones you actually need and discuss the current pricing.
